I don’t know about you, but I struggle to keep plants alive.  They need all that SUN, and WATER, and ATTENTION… so complicated.  Luckily, the nice people at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks have honed their skills and take care of lovely plants and flowers for us all to enjoy.  The Garden is open six days a week from 9am-8pm (closed on Monday- and they close at 5 on some Saturdays for weddings).  Click here for directions.  The Garden is a place for learning and wonder, celebration and contemplation for the Northwest Arkansas community and all who visit. Come visit soon, and get to know your Garden!

Wine and Dine

Although it is only a little over an hour away, Eureka Springs is like a different world, making it the perfect getaway- with its many quaint cafes, historic hotels, and boutique shops galore.  This weekend Eureka Springs is hosting a food and wine event that we think may be well worth the drive.  The weekend is traditionally known for restaurants, bars, shops, and chefs inviting visitors in to treat their palates to a delightful tour of food and wine.  Many restaurants also feature special menus, have live entertainment, wine premiers, and cooking classes. There are over 30 events at over 15 different venues planned as part of this elaborate and festive weekend.  So whether you make a day of it or the weekend of it- there is sure to be something that you will enjoy!

Reservations are required at many of the events so check out the complete list here so you will not be left out.

Happy Trails

Fall is upon us (even though it does not feel like it) and in the next couple of weeks the trees should start changing to beautiful hues of red, orange, and gold!  We have found the perfect plans for your Sunday afternoon drive- Scenic Highway 12.  Passing through the Ozarks of Northwest Arkansas, Scenic Highway 12 stretches from Bentonville to Downtown Rogers, across the southern end of Beaver Lake, and on to Eureka!  Of course mother nature offers many beautiful sights for you to enjoy along the way.  However, you might prefer to visit the old War Eagle Mill, tour a cavern,  go antiquing, or freshen up on your Civil War knowledge.  No matter what you choose to do, we recommend that you roll the windows down, pop in your favorite tunes, and bring your camera! www.wareaglemill.com
